License
With a current license you can get support and new releases, everything will keep working with an expired license.
There are three types of licenses:
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
| TRIAL | Fully functional and time limited license. You can try all Host Provisioning features |
| COMMUNITY | Free license, some features are not available, the core of Host Provisioning is functional and lets you work in a small environment |
| ENTERPRISE | Fully functional installation, you can open support cases |

tip
If a license file is missing, the licensing state will switch to UNREGISTERED, available features will be similar to COMMUNITY edition.
Installing a license
Follow these steps to request and install a license:
- Request a license file by filling in the form at Gorgo Systems website. Select Trial, Community or Enterprise.
- Community license is limited to 5 computers, the first 5 computers will receive configuration and vDisk updates.
- You will receive a license.lic file in the email you provided.
- Log in to the Host Provisioning administration console, click on the drop down menu in your username and select License.
- Upload the license.lic file, the server will update its license status. In High Availability environments, the license file will be synchronized between servers.
- After installing a new server in a new or an existing farm, you need to manually upload or copy the license file to the new server.
tip
You can manually install the license file by copying it directly in the MountedDatastore\license folder.
