BITS Profiles
Host Provisioning uses Background Intelligent Transfers (BITS) technology to handle transfers during deployment or normal system operation.
You can limit the network bandwidth that BITS uses for background transfers, these limits will not apply on image deployment.
You can assign BITS profiles to Computer Groups or individual computers.
Option | Description |
---|---|
Profile Name | Name of the BITS Profile |
Disable Branchcache | Disable the use of branchcache for all BITS jobs |
Ignore Bandwidth Limits on Lan | Ignore bandwidth limits if the source and the destination are on the same subnet |
Enable Profile | Enable the bandwidth limits set on this profile |
Work Days | Start and End day of the work schedule where the bandwidth limits will apply (week starts on Sunday) |
Work Hours | Start and End hour of the work schedule where the bandwidth limits will apply, format 24h |
Bandwidth limits in work hours | Bandwidth in Kbps, Mbps or unlimited, if unlimited is set no limit will be applied during the work schedule |
Bandwidth limits in non work hours | Bandwidth in Kbps, Mbps or unlimited, if unlimited is set no limit will be applied during the non-work schedule (days and hours not included in work schedule) |
You can specify a limit to use during a specific time interval and at all other times. For example, limit the use of network bandwidth to 10 Kbps from 8:00 A. M. to 5:00 P. M., and use all available unused bandwidth the rest of the day's hours. BITS will limit its bandwidth usage to the specified values. To prevent BITS transfers from occurring, specify a limit of 0.
If BITS domain group policies have been set, they will take preference over this configuration.
